As part of the ‘Imagining Urban Futures’ conference, a group of academics and practitioners were invited to participate in a walking investigation of Overvecht, one of Utrecht’s typical post-war modernist neighbourhoods. Overvecht will have to go undergo dramatic transformation in the coming years: a challenge, but also an opportunity to facilitate the development of a new type of city. This excursion presented the future-already-happening in Overvecht by visiting three creative interventions in the neighbourhood. Interdisciplinary discussion and learning along the way - literally - was a key goal.
